As an opera director and educator, Escalante is deeply committed to student-centered pedagogy and collaborative rehearsal processes. She has served as Opera Stage Director at the University of North Texas, where she staged a double-bill production of Aleko and Gianni Schicchi and worked extensively with undergraduate and graduate singers on stagecraft, dramatic interpretation, and performance confidence.
